How numbers reduce
Almost everything in numerology comes down to adding digits until one is left: 2 8 → 2 + 8 = 10 → 1 + 0 = 1. The exceptions are the master numbers 11, 22 and 33, which are never reduced, and the karmic debt numbers 13, 14, 16 and 19, which reduce but leave a mark on the digit they become.
