The Independence Coach
"I want to raise someone who doesn't need me โ€” and deeply knows that I'm here."

The LP1 parent is devoted to raising capable, self-reliant children. They believe deeply that the greatest gift they can give is a child who can stand on their own โ€” who doesn't need to be rescued, who can figure things out, who is not afraid of hard work or failure. At their best, they raise remarkably self-sufficient, confident children. At their most challenging, they can mistake self-reliance training for emotional unavailability.

Your Parenting Strengths
โœ“Teaches children independence, self-confidence, and problem-solving
โœ“Models ambition, perseverance, and the value of hard work
โœ“Encourages children to form their own views rather than just conforming
โœ“Creates children who are not afraid of challenge or competition
Growth Areas
โ†’Learning to be physically and emotionally present, not just materially providing
โ†’Allowing children to need them โ€” not seeing neediness as weakness
โ†’Making space for children's different temperaments, especially sensitive ones
โ†’Modeling vulnerability and asking for help
Best for Children Who
Children who are independent, strong-willed, and competitive. Children who match the LP1's energy and ambition.
Greatest Challenge With
Sensitive, emotionally-oriented children (particularly LP2, LP6, LP9) who need more emotional attunement than the LP1 naturally provides.
Daily Practice

One daily "no screens, no phones, fully present" interaction โ€” even 15 minutes. The LP1 parent's complete attention is more powerful than hours of partial presence.

"My children need to see me as a human, not just as a provider and role model. I can be both strong and tender."
