Blue
Blue resonates with the number 7 โ the seeker, the truth-finder, the deep thinker. Blue is the color of sky and deep water: the infinite above and the unfathomable below. It cools, it clarifies, it invites contemplation of what lies beneath the surface. The 7's famous introspection and truth-seeking are blue's essential nature.
Blue lowers blood pressure and heart rate, promoting calm and clear thinking. It is the color most often cited as a favorite globally โ associated with trustworthiness, reliability, and depth. In excess it can create sadness, detachment, or an over-reliance on analysis at the expense of feeling.
Blue corresponds primarily to the throat chakra โ the center of authentic expression and truth-speaking. But deep royal blue and indigo extend to the third eye and the realm of vision and divine communication. Blue lapis lazuli was ground into the pigment used in Renaissance religious art to represent the divine. The Virgin's mantle is blue: infinite space, infinite mercy.
"I speak truth with grace. The depth within me is a gift, not a burden."
