Attitude Number
Also called the Sun Number โ calculated from your birth month and day, it describes the first impression you make and your instinctive, knee-jerk reaction to new situations.
The Attitude Number โ often called the Sun Number โ describes the energy you give off in the first moments of meeting someone, and the automatic way you react to a new event before conscious thought catches up. It is a "snapshot" number, and it frequently differs from the Life Path, which is why people can seem one way on first contact and another once you know them.
It is calculated from only the month and day of birth; the year is deliberately left out, because the Attitude describes an immediate posture rather than a life journey. Someone born in November on the 8th, for example, has 11 + 8 = 19 โ 1, an Attitude Number 1: direct, self-starting and independent on first impression.
The number matters most when it clashes with the Life Path. A gentle, cooperative Life Path 2 carrying an assertive Attitude 8 will often be read as pushy or intimidating before their diplomatic nature has a chance to show โ a recurring source of being misunderstood. Knowing your Attitude Number explains the persistent gap between how strangers perceive you and who you actually are underneath.
How to calculate
Add your birth month and birth day, then reduce to a single digit (or master number). Example: born July 3 โ 7 + 3 = 10 โ 1. Attitude Number 1. The birth year is not used.
