Intensity Numbers
The full tally of how many times each digit from 1 to 9 appears in your name — the underlying table from which Karmic Lessons and the Hidden Passion are both read.
Intensity Numbers are less a single figure than a census. Convert the whole birth name to digits and count each one, and you produce a table showing the relative weight of every number in your chart. Numerologists sometimes call this the inclusion table, and it is the raw material behind several other readings: the zero counts are your Karmic Lessons, the highest count is your Hidden Passion, and everything in between describes proportion.
Proportion is the point. Every name has an expected distribution — some letters are simply more common in English than others, so a name with three 5s (E, N, W) is unremarkable while a name with three 8s (H, Q, Z) is genuinely unusual. A skilled reading accounts for this. An intensity of two 5s is average; four is a strong signal. The interpretation depends on the deviation, not the raw count.
An over-intense number behaves like a personality trait turned up too far — the 1 that becomes domineering, the 2 that becomes unable to decide anything alone, the 7 that becomes unreachable. An under-intense number (one appearance where several are typical) shows a capacity that exists but stays weak unless deliberately used. Read as a whole, the intensity table is the closest thing numerology has to a balance sheet.
How to calculate
Convert each letter of the full birth name to its Pythagorean value and count the occurrences of each digit 1 through 9. Record all nine counts. Zeros are Karmic Lessons; the maximum is the Hidden Passion.
