Life Cycles (3 Major Cycles)
The three long eras of a life — Formative, Productive and Harvest — each governed by one component of your birth date.
Beneath the four Pinnacles sits an older and simpler division: three Life Cycles, each ruled by one part of the birth date. The first, the Formative Cycle, is governed by the reduced birth month and runs from birth until roughly the late twenties. The second, the Productive Cycle, is governed by the reduced birth day and covers the long working middle of a life. The third, the Harvest Cycle, is governed by the reduced birth year and runs from the mid-fifties onward.
The names describe the intent. The Formative Cycle is the period in which the personality is assembled — largely by circumstance, since a person has limited authorship of their own first three decades. The Productive Cycle is where the chart is actually spent: career, family, building, the years in which the Life Path is either lived or avoided. The Harvest Cycle is where the accumulated consequences arrive, and numerology is unsentimental about this — it harvests whatever was planted.
The exact transition ages are pinned to the Life Path number, following the same rule as the Pinnacles: the first cycle ends around age 27 minus the Life Path, with subsequent cycles running 27 years each. This produces the useful and slightly unsettling observation that people with high Life Path numbers get a shorter childhood in the numerological sense, and are pushed into their productive years earlier.
How to calculate
Reduce the birth month for the First (Formative) Cycle, the birth day for the Second (Productive) Cycle, and the birth year for the Third (Harvest) Cycle. The first cycle ends at approximately 27 minus your Life Path number; each subsequent cycle lasts 27 years.
