Universal Month

Numerology draws a consistent distinction between the personal and the universal. Personal numbers are yours alone, derived from your birth date or name. Universal numbers belong to everybody at once, derived from the calendar itself. The Universal Month is the Universal Year plus the number of the month, and it describes the shared mood of a period rather than your private experience of it.

The idea is not that everyone feels the same thing in a Universal Month 5. It is that the conditions tilt in a particular direction — that the month favours movement, disruption and news, and that individuals will meet those conditions differently depending on their own charts. A Universal Month 5 lands very differently on someone in a Personal Month 4, who is trying to build something stable in a period that keeps shaking the table.

Practitioners use Universal Months mainly for context and for anything collective: launches, elections, market events, cultural moments. Read alone, the Universal Month is broad to the point of vagueness. Read against a Personal Month, it becomes genuinely informative, because it explains the difference between resistance you are generating and resistance that is simply in the air.

How to calculate

Reduce the calendar year to a single digit to get the Universal Year, then add the number of the month and reduce again. Example: 2026 → 2+0+2+6 = 10 → 1 (Universal Year 1). In March (3): 1 + 3 = Universal Month 4.
